Shipping policy

1. Production & Lead Times

At Golden West Leather, we don't believe in rushing the craft. Because every piece is hand-cut and hand-stitched by Austin in our home workshop, quality takes time.

  • Standard Lead Time: Please allow 3–4 weeks for your order to be crafted, finished, and prepped for shipment.

  • Why the wait? We use traditional methods—like the saddle stitch and hand-burnished edges—that simply cannot be replicated by machines. This timeline ensures that every item leaving our bench meets our standard of durability and excellence.

  • Custom Commissions: Large or highly complex custom projects may require additional time. We will provide a specific estimated completion date during your design consultation.

2. Shipping Methods

We ship all items via USPS, FedEx, or UPS from our workshop in Norfolk, NE. Once your item is finished and the final stitch is laid, you will receive a tracking number via email.

  • Standard Shipping: Typically arrives in 3–5 business days after production is complete.

  • International Shipping: We currently offer international shipping to some locations. (Customs fees and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer).

3. Order Tracking

As soon as your package is scanned at the post office, you’ll receive an automated update. Please note that once a package is in the hands of the carrier, we are no longer responsible for delays caused by weather or carrier volume.
